NIF MRI PET CT Reaches Key Milestone

On Sunday, March 26, the stakeholders of the UWA NIF MRI project convened to witness a pivotal moment. A meticulously planned crane operation successfully lifted the 7-tonne MRI machine and placed it in its designated location on the third floor of the Harry Perkins Institute. Despite initial concern over the weather forecast predicting heavy rain and thunder, the lift proceeded smoothly once the skies cleared up.

The NIF MRI project is a crucial research facility for clinical trials and is expected to achieve practical completion in the first week of May.
