New Donnybrook Balingup Recreation Facility Kicks Off
The VC Mitchell Park has reached a new milestone with the appointment of the builder, Perkins, and the completion of schematic design. The project is being managed via a design and construct methodology and this is the first design stage with the appointed builder Perkins and their design partner CCN.
The Shire of Donnybrook Ballinyup appointed Shape Management as the project manager during the feasibility phase and this role has been expanded to the completion of the delivery and construction phase.
CEO of Donnybrook, Ben Rose is excited to have reached the milestone. “It is very exciting to reach this milestone for the VC Mitchell Park project. The upgrade of this recreation facility is going to be a great asset for the local community and will be well utilised by sporting groups and the community at large.”
The project is a $9 million upgrade of the existing recreational facility and includes a new double story multi-purpose pavilion, upgrades to existing buildings and upgrading services infrastructure and civil works across the site. The project is due to be complete in October 2024.
